Registration Specialist II - Cox North Emergency Department

Job Summary
Greet and serve patients and internal team members during on-site registration and arrival processes for both scheduled and unscheduled visits. Collect accurate demographic and insurance information, process patient financial obligations at the time of service, and complete financial clearance functions for assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong customer service skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency in computer systems. Some travel between sites and extended hours may be required based on departmental business needs. This role supports CoxHealth's mission to improve community health across six hospitals, five ERs, and over 80 clinics in southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some travel from site to site
- Extended hours may be required
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years prior registration experience
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
