Job Summary
Greet and check in patients, answer phones, and collect co-pays and insurance payments in a fast-paced clinical environment. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, process referrals, and generate price estimates while identifying and collecting outstanding balances. Communicate compassionately with patients and families regarding routine and sensitive topics, and train new staff using checklists. Respond to inquiries, perform registration quality checks, and conduct census audits. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements across admitting, emergency, maternity, and rehabilitation units. This onsite role at 175 Fore River Parkway, Portland, ME, requires 8 or 10-hour shifts between 7:00am and 5:00pm, with occasional weekend and on-call availability. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of customer service experience such as hospital, office setting, customer service setting, or phone support
- Ability to work onsite at 175 Fore River Parkway, Portland, ME 04102
- Ability to work 8 or 10-hour shifts per business need, between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Ability to occasionally work weekends and on-call, per business need

- Experience with Microsoft Office products
