Job Summary
Greet patients and manage the registration/admission process, verify insurance information, complete pre-certification for all insurance except Medicare/Medicaid, copy and file required forms, direct patients to appropriate departments, monitor the switchboard and handle phone calls, transfer callers, assist patients entering and moving within the facility, support transportation within the facility, collaborate with nursing staff on admittance, and handle charting tasks for shifts; role emphasizes front-desk registration duties and basic clerical support in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Experience in customer service (preferred but not required)
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
