Job Summary
Registration Coordinator at OrthoVirginia serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and performs administrative duties. Responsible for maintaining the registration desk, answering phone lines, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations, collecting co-pays, and providing general administrative support to providers. Coordinates with billing on collections, posts payments, and ensures efficient office operations while delivering excellent customer service across multiple locations. Must be able to multi-task, communicate effectively, and navigate insurance-related questions and processes (including e-Verify participation).
Required Qualifications
- Experience in medical/healthcare office administration
- Knowledge of insurance verifications and authorizations
- Ability to verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
- Proficiency with scheduling and office procedures
- Familiarity with e-Verify participation
- Collaborative ability to coordinate with providers, billing staff, and patient resources
