Job Summary
Registrar Technician handles FERPA-compliant processing of student registrations, course enrollments, grade/attendance/program changes, and graduation-related steps; maintains data accuracy in the student information system; prepares enrollment/degree verifications and transcripts; processes official transcripts and related fees; conducts periodic data cleanup and resolves information accuracy issues; requires strong data entry, MS Office proficiency, and customer-focused service with integrity and professionalism, supporting students and institutional operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience – Associate’s degree preferred
- Experience working in an educational environment supporting students desirable
- Language Skills – ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information to students and employees
- Mathematical Skills – ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Reasoning Ability – ability to follow instructions and solve problems
- Computer Skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access and Outlook; and proprietary software used to maintain student records
- Physical Demands – ability to perform tasks as described in the job posting
