Job Summary
Scheduling and verification of pre-authorizations for Radiology, Cardiology, Chemotherapy, and other outpatient services. Create and manage patient appointments in Meditech, obtain orders and pre-authorizations, coordinate with multiple departments, act as receptionist in the Specialty Clinic as needed, and ensure proper documentation and communication to support efficient patient flow.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service experience
- Medical terminology course or background preferred
- Data entry and accurate typing skills
- Ability to work with interruptions and pay attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clerical procedures
- Ability to present information effectively to coworkers and patients
- Ability to solve practical problems
