Job Summary
Patient Access Registration Representative responsible for registering patients across Emergency Room, Outpatient, SDS and Admitting, ensuring accurate demographic, financial and insurance information, validating insurance in the HDX system, and determining patient financial responsibility via Recondo; collects patient responsibility at time of service through PatientCo, and explains/obtains signatures on registration documents per department scripting to ensure a comprehensive, proactive Patient-First experience across hospital registration points.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Some college and/or CHAA certified preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution.
- Hospital and Insurance registration experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Base knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
- Typing skills of 30-40 WPM required.
