Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient registration across Emergency Room, Outpatient, SDS, and Admitting points while verifying insurance in HDX and determining financial responsibility via Recondo. Collect patient responsibility amounts through the PatientCo application and review consent forms and registration documents, securing required signatures per department scripting. Investigate and resolve patient issues to ensure a proactive, "Patients First" experience, maintaining accurate demographic and financial records. Requires bi-lingual Spanish skills, 30-40 WPM typing, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Computer proficiency
- Typing skills of 30-40 WPM
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse population while maintaining a professional attitude and providing great customer service
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
- Base knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Ability to travel among hospital sites
Desired Qualifications
- Some college and/or CHAA certified
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution
- Hospital and Insurance registration experience
- Interest in learning new technology and troubleshooting to resolve minor technical issues
