Job Summary
Patient Access Registration Representative provides front-line service for patient registration across Emergency Room, Outpatient, SDS and Admitting, verifies insurance in the HDX system, determines patient financial responsibility via Recondo, collects payment at time of service via PatientCo, and explains hospital consent forms per scripting while ensuring a comprehensive, proactive “Patients First” experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Some college and/or CHAA certified preferred
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution
- Hospital and Insurance registration experience preferred
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
- Base knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
- Computer proficiency required
- Typing skills of 30-40 WPM required
