Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely handling and restraining animals with compassion. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates, and perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Maintain accurate medical records, assist with medication dispensing, and keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked. Adhere strictly to hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 4-day workweek, no weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
