Job Summary
Surgery Technician responsibilities include preparing surgical suites and sterilizing instruments for preoperative care; administering, monitoring, and adjusting anesthesia; providing surgical assistance with aseptic technique; monitoring recovery and maintaining records for postoperative care; performing radiography (X-rays); cleaning and sterilizing equipment; explaining postoperative care to clients; and assisting in emergency surgeries. Requires a CA-RVT license (or equivalent), high school diploma, clinical surgery experience, ability to calculate drug doses/CRIs/estimates, and obtaining the VACSP within 60 days. Full-time role with competitive pay and benefits, located in Redwood City, CA.
Required Qualifications

- Active CA-RVT license
- Clinical experience in veterinary surgery
- Must obtain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit within 60 days
- Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); waiver if incumbent holds valid CA-RVT license
