Job Summary
As a member of the Surgery team you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and the well-being of our patients. Duties include conducting pre-surgical examinations and obtaining medical histories; administering pre-anesthetic medications and monitoring patient responses; inserting and managing IV catheters for fluid therapy and medication administration; sterilizing and setting up surgical instruments and equipment; assisting in tissue handling and retraction; accurately recording data for the medical record; adjusting anesthesia levels and administering additional medications; providing postoperative care including pain and wound management; ensuring the surgical area is disinfected and ready for the next procedure; and explaining postoperative care instructions to pet owners with timely updates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of surgery veterinary experience
- CA-RVT required
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
