Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely handling and restraining animals with compassion. Perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement, and maintain accurate medical records. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates. Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready, while following all hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines. Work 36-40 hours per week including rotating Saturdays. Join a progressive, AAHA Accredited practice dedicated to low-stress care for pets and owners.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
