Job Summary
Conduct hands-on patient care, execute treatment plans, and advocate for pets and owners across wellness, sick, urgent care, anesthesia, and dental appointments. Utilize full license potential to deliver the Juno Standard of Care through continuous learning, CE, and research. Collaborate with the clinical team to solve problems and support one another while communicating with empathy and integrity. This role is located in Toronto at the Liberty Village clinic and reports to the Practice Manager. Compensation ranges from $27 to $33 per hour with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid Veterinary Technician License (RVT, LVT)
- You have a minimum of 1+ years experience in clinic
- General knowledge of GP practices (vaccine schedules, common medication uses, preventative medicine, nutrition)
- Experience in anesthesia - from using a multiparameter to recalling what medications are in your arsenal to create a safe and prepared environment
- Dentistry - general knowledge of how to scale and polish
- Knowledge of xray positioning and how to troubleshoot
- Starting to build a strong foundation of technical skills - from wrangling spicy cats to being able to use your vampire skills for blood draws
- Communicate with empathy and act with integrity
- Willingness to grow and adapt; an inclination to embrace change and work together to build an optimal solution for all
