Job Summary
Provide emergency and critical care as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for a 24/7 AAHA-accredited animal hospital. Daily duties include handling and restraining animals, assisting veterinarians before/during/after surgery, administering medications and vaccines under direction, nursing and monitoring emergency/critical patients, triage, radiographs, lab tests, wound care, client counseling, and mentoring practicum students. The role requires maintaining professional registration and continuing education, with shifts typically including evenings, weekends, and some overnights. Compensation ranges from $29–35/hr with up to a $5,000 signing bonus and potential relocation assistance for full-time candidates; benefits include health/dental/vision, RRSP matching, continuing education allowances, paid licensing, vacation, and staff discounts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or recent graduate preparing to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks
