Registered Veterinary Technician, Emergency Per Diem

Job Summary
Perform treatments on hospitalized and emergency patients, including medication administration, IV fluid therapy with CRIs, and transfusion support. Obtain and monitor vital signs, manage anesthesia induction and recovery, and conduct phlebotomy with basic hematology interpretation. Assist with surgical procedures, apply wound care, and perform CPCR in critical situations. Maintain accurate medical records, update clients, and support patient intake and billing processes. Ensure treatment areas remain clean and stocked. This role requires a CVT, LVT, or RVT with at least two years of emergency or anesthesia experience to work in a 24/7 high-acuity environment within the Denver metro area.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in veterinary surgery, anesthesia, or emergency care
- Experience in a fast-paced emergency or multi-doctor hospital
- Strong understanding of anesthesia monitoring and patient stability parameters
- Ability to calculate and administer medications, fluids, and CRIs accurately
- Experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, and patient restraint
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical assistance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations
- Fluent English (spoken and written required)
Desired Qualifications
- CVT, LVT, RVT, or VTS preferred (pRVT considered)
- EzyVet/SmartFlow experience
