Job Summary
Assist veterinarians with routine general practice procedures including exams, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, venipuncture, and catheter placement. Support surgeries such as spay/neuter and mass removals while managing patient flow, appointment coordination, and client communication. Collaborate with the GP team to shape workflows and best practices in a newly built facility equipped with onsite diagnostics. This full-time role offers a flexible Monday-Thursday schedule (7:30am to 6pm) starting September 2026, with potential for weekend coverage. Candidates must hold a license or credential and possess at least 1.5 years of small animal practice experience. Portland Vet Stroudwater seeks a collaborative technician to help launch this expanding general practice.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed/Credentialed veterinary technician
- Minimum 1 2 years of experience in small animal practice including surgery
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Comfortable using practice management software and diagnostic equipment
- Demonstrates compassion, teamwork, initiative, and respect
- Must be available for weekend day with growth
- Must be available for schedule change or start time change in future
