Job Summary
Provide advanced nursing care for cardiology inpatients and outpatients, including critical and complex cases; perform patient assessments, triage, obtain medical histories, and monitor hospitalized patients; administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians; assist with and monitor advanced diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms, ECGs, radiography, and CT imaging; support anesthetic procedures, including induction, monitoring, and recovery of patients undergoing cardiology-related diagnostics and procedures; collect and process laboratory samples and maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation; operate and monitor anesthesia, imaging, and patient monitoring equipment; provide client education regarding cardiac disease management, medications, diagnostics, and discharge care instructions; collaborate closely with cardiologists, RVTs, assistants, and specialty teams to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced specialty hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required
