Job Summary
Restraining animals, triaging patients, collecting and analyzing lab samples, performing diagnostic imaging, providing nursing care for hospitalized cases, administering medications, communicating treatment plans with clients, and assisting with surgical preparation and anesthetic management. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adapting to various situations from routine checkups to emergencies. This full-time role requires availability on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with additional weekday and Saturday shifts as needed, ranging from 30-38 hours per week. Starting November 2026, Saturday shifts will no longer be available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- 1+ years of experience
- Knowledge of Cornerstone software
- Positive attitude
- High work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of preventative care
- Knowledge of surgical procedures
- Knowledge of hospital flow
- Proficiency in sample collection (blood, urine, fecal, and skin)
- Ability to properly set up and process lab tests
- Skill in radiograph positioning
- Experience with anesthesia
- Experience with surgical monitoring
- Self-motivation
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Availability on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- Availability for additional weekday and Saturday shifts
- Ability to complete a background check
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience preferred (but not required)
- Knowledge of Cornerstone software is a plus
