Registered Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload, including running nurse clinics for health checks, vaccinations, anal gland expression, nail clips, and wellness screenings. Support preventative healthcare and assist with clinical procedures throughout the day while collaborating with veterinary surgeons on a busy one-vet practice. Manage workload effectively with strong communication skills to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues. This part-time role involves 20 hours per week, primarily Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 7:00pm, with a 1 in 5 Saturday rota at the Arboretum branch. No out-of-hours requirements apply. The practice offers a dedicated Nurse Graduate Programme for new joiners and subject-specific learning pathways for experienced nurses, alongside a £550 CPD allowance and covered RCVS fees.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice
- Growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively
- Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
- 20 hours per week
- Wednesday and Thursday, working 8:30am-7:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 9:00am-1:00pm at our Arboretum branch
