Job Summary
Registered Vascular Technologist performing comprehensive vascular/neurovascular ultrasound studies (duplex venous and arterial, carotid, abdominal, Transcranial Doppler) with attention to anatomical variants, venous thrombus, valvular incompetence, and arterial stenosis. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, documenting results, preparing preliminary reports, coordinating with referring physicians and staff, maintaining exam room and equipment, contributing to quality assurance, and supporting timely charting and data entry. Requires RVT license and CPR/BLS; Associate’s degree acceptable in lieu of Bachelor’s, with 3+ years of experience applicable. Strong emphasis on imaging accuracy, patient care, and collaboration within Northwestern Medicine teams.
Required Qualifications
- RVT License
- CPR BLS through American Heart Association (AHA)
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist
- Preferred: CPR-ACLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Vascular Technology or Health Science Field
