Job Summary
Evaluate patients for peripheral vascular disease by selecting effective procedures within regulatory guidelines. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, record test results, and report findings to physicians. Monitor patient comfort and safety during exams, alerting staff to abnormalities or changes in response. Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition, reporting any deficiencies or failures immediately. Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging. This night shift PRN role at Ascension St. Vincent's Freestanding ER Collins requires BLS certification and specific vascular sonography credentials.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
