Job Summary
Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Accurately conducts technical procedures for disease diagnosis, positions and transfers patients, adjusts equipment parameters, assists in equipment calibration, understands high level probe disinfection, schedules exams, and maintains department records. The role requires effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S) (ARRT)
- 6 months related experience preferred
