Job Summary
Perform abdominal echoes, renal, aorta, thyroid, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, and Doppler studies while preparing equipment, rooms, and images for interpretation. Verify completed studies in RIS and PACS, check images with radiologists, and provide written unofficial reports. Take representative anatomical pictures, recognize normal versus abnormal anatomy, and mark images for proper definition. Maintain quality control on equipment, attend safety training, and follow exposure control plans. Available for on-call status as needed. Registered or registry eligible in Ultrasound required, with CPR certification. Associate's Degree in Sonography or Radiology preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Sonography from approved program
- Associate Degree in Radiology from approved program
- Registered or Registry eligible in Ultrasound
- Requirement to become Registered within 18 months
- CPR
