Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and education while coordinating services with external medical facilities. Lead oversight for Medical Assistants and collaborate with LPNs to ensure complete care delivery. Audit quality metrics including HEDIS performance and meaningful uses measures. Respond to crisis situations, administer medications, and maintain accurate records. Work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams to improve clinic flow and patient outcomes. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to federal and state regulations, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Nurse
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of general nursing principles and practices
- Knowledge of current nursing technology and methods
- Skill in the application of nursing techniques
- Ability to assess the effectiveness of nursing care and to recommend changes to nursing care programs and methods
- Ability to administer medications and implement treatment plans
- Ability to instruct others on promotion of health and prevention of disease
- Ability to provide nursing care direction to medical assistants
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and maintain organizationally appropriate relationships
- Knowledge of organization policies and procedures
- Skilled in exercising initiative, appropriate judgment, problem-solving and decision making
- Skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships with program participants
- Work weekends and shifts when necessary
