Job Summary
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, assist physicians with procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety. You will operate sonographic equipment, prepare preliminary reports, maintain high medical ethics and patient care standards, and assist with department operations including scheduling and mentoring new employees. A successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, clinical excellence, and an understanding of sonographic principles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Active ARDMS certification in appropriate specialties
- BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- At least 1 year of full-time sonography experience
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic principles
- Excellent communication and independent judgment skills
