Job Summary
Provide personal care assessments, individual counselling and therapy, and evaluate and monitor client progression within a part-time healthcare clinic. Maintain and update records, make referrals to medical professionals as appropriate, and provide information on external resources for ongoing support. The role focuses on serving diverse client groups including adults, families, pregnant individuals, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, minors, and those with mental health concerns or substance-use issues, with a requirement for at least 3 years of social work experience and accredited social work degrees. Location: Toronto Immigration Holding Centre (on-site), schedule is Mon/Wed/Fri, 3 hours per shift. Reports to Manager, Clinical Practice; compensation is $45/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of social work experience within the last 5 years
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Social Work accredited by CASWE
- Relibility Status security clearance (proof provided and reimbursed)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (within one year)
- WHMIS Certification (within two years)
