Job Summary

Senior Water Resources Engineer focused on stormwater planning and design, asset management, water quality, and integrated planning, with leadership in business development, client relationships, and project management. Responsible for planning/design of stormwater improvements (open channels, storm/sewer systems, detention/retention facilities), green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures, coastal planning, flood mitigation improvements (dams, levees, reservoirs, pump stations), erosion and sediment control (SWPPP), regulatory permitting (USACE, FEMA), CSO/SSO/TMDL scenario planning, hydrology and hydraulics and water quality modeling, and collaboration with partners to apply innovative approaches. Qualifications include 15+ years in water resources planning and design (experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/PC/XP-SWMM, StormWise, InfoWorks, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, Cityworks/Lucity or CMMS), ability to drive client-focused business development, and a bachelor’s degree with an active engineering license and at least 11 years of related experience; compliance with pre-employment screening as applicable. The role supports hybrid or flexible work options after onboarding, with majority office-based work and site visits as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Certifications
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.

Desired Qualifications

  • 15+ years of water resources planning and design experience
  • Experience developing and executing planning and water resource projects
  • Have proficiency with some or all of the following applications and models
  • StormWise (formerly ICPR)
  • InfoWorks
  • Cityworks, Lucity, or other Asset Management/CMMS systems
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures
  • Drive client-facing/business development efforts
