Job Summary
Determines the health needs of incoming and returning students; provides medical expertise on school, SPED, and safety teams; manages medication administration and in-school procedures; trains staff to provide coverage; coordinates hearing and vision screenings; maintains immunization records; develops community relations and collaborates with health care providers, parents, and school personnel to identify and implement plans that mitigate health-related obstacles to learning.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado
- Current Special Services Providers License- School Nurse through the Colorado Department of Education or must meet the requirements to obtain this license
- CPR certified
- CDHS Medication Registry upon hire
- BSN required
- Communication skills
