Job Summary
Registered School Nurse needed to provide professional health services for youth in a school-based residential setting. Duties include sick calls, regular medical assessments, dental needs, daily triage of injuries and illnesses, health screening, health education, and record review. Monitor and administer medications, document adverse effects, obtain prescription refills as needed, maintain Medication Administration Sheets and the Controlled Drug Book, participate in treatment team staffing, advise social services on health needs, and transport clients to medical appointments as required. Located at the Boys Residential Academy in Yanceyville, NC. Required Qualifications
- Requires Registered Nurse Diploma or degree. Must have and maintain current and appropriate Registered Nurse licensure in the state where employed.
- Two years of school, correctional, doctors office, camp, industrial, or public health experience preferred.
- Experience working pediatric/adolescent patient care preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of child / adolescent related illness.
- Must be CPR certified.
