Job Summary
Provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining clear communication and accountability. Build relationships to foster a collaborative environment and take initiative for professional growth. Work flexible PRN shifts, typically one or two days per week, with hours ranging from 7pm to 7am. This role requires at least six months of respiratory care experience and current licensure with the Texas Medical Board. Methodist Dallas Medical Center serves as a 595-bed acute care teaching hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center and a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
