Job Summary
Provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing for patients in accordance with physician orders and protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to build relationships that promote a collaborative environment and improve the patient experience. Maintain clear communication, take initiative for professional growth, and remain accountable for performance while engaging with the team. This PRN Respiratory Therapist role at Methodist Dallas Medical Center supports a 595-bed acute care teaching hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center and Level III NICU. The position requires current Texas licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification, along with at least six months of respiratory care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
