Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and population needs. Operate under the direction of the medical director, cardiopulmonary director, or manager, with potential assignment as a Lead RCP responsible for the section or department during shifts. Work full-time nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) for 36 hours per week with rotating weekends required in a high-acuity critical care environment. Obtain current RRT licensure and maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Schedule: 36 Hours per Week
- Rotating Weekends Required
- Shift: Full-Time Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred
