Job Summary
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and protocols. Communicate clearly, build relationships to promote collaboration, and take initiative for professional growth while always seeking ways to improve the patient experience. Maintain accountability for performance in this PRN role with 12-hour shifts, requiring current BLS and ACLS certifications, NRP within one year, and at least six months of respiratory care experience. Work at Methodist Midlothian Medical Center, an award-winning 46-bed acute care facility offering emergency care, advanced surgery, and robotic surgery capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
