Job Summary
PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care including ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas analysis, and patient assessment across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. Responsibilities include documenting procedures, verifying physician orders, participating in in-services and rounds, assisting in staff orientation, ensuring equipment readiness, and maintaining compliance with infection control and regulatory standards. Requires CoARC-approved RRT credential, BLS, NRP (or within designated timelines), and U.S. work authorization; position is on-site in Craig, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
- Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment
- Unencumbered License/Certification (if applicable)
- Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved Respiratory Care Program with the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential according to NBRC guidelines
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or be obtained within six (6) months of hire)
- RRT with one (1) year of experience, through knowledge and training in General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation
- Pulmonary diagnostics
- Cardiac Diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor Cardiac Stress Testing)
