Registered Respiratory Therapist- PRN

PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist provides direct patient care activities related to respiratory therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within hospital guidelines. Independently applies advanced clinical respiratory knowledge, supports as part of the patient care team, and ensures patient safety with age-appropriate care. Responsibilities include effective communication and documentation, education of patients/families/students/new staff, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Demonstrates advanced clinical skills to support additional duties such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, and Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed. Applies respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise to assess, analyze and troubleshoot procedures, with a clinical ladder program to recognize ongoing professional development.
