Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, assist bronchoscopy procedures, and perform advanced airway care. Initiates ventilator protocols and nitric oxide delivery; conducts surfactant delivery in NICU, tracheotomy changes, extubation and intubation, and high-frequency ventilation as part of the role. Use EPIC for charting; participate in transport and back-up charge therapy as needed. Requires an Associate degree or equivalent, New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, NBRC RRT credential, and ACLS/PALS/BLS; 2–3 years of college-level study with critical care experience preferred. Night shift with 12-hour nights, part-time 0.60 FTE at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM.
Required Qualifications
- ASSOCIATE degree or diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS
- BLS
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- Six months to one year critical care experience preferred
