Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, assist bronchoscopy procedures under departmental policy (monitoring consciousness and cardiovascular/pulmonary status; administration of IV conscious sedation and reversal agents), initiate ventilator protocols and coordinate ventilator management, perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation and intubation, initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators, and NICU duties such as surfactant delivery, intubation, and involvement with high-risk deliveries. Role includes 12-hour night shifts in Albuquerque, NM with tax-exempt benefits, professional development options, liability coverage, loan forgiveness options, and access to EPIC charting system.
Required Qualifications
- ASSOCIATE DEGREE OR DIPLOMA IN RESPIRATORY CARE
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS, BLS required
- 6 months to 1 year critical care experience preferred
