Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, assist with bronchoscopy procedures, initiate ventilator protocols, and perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, intubation, and extubation. Also responsible for high-frequency ventilation initiation, NICU surfactant delivery, nitric oxide delivery, and adherence to department protocols; roles may include transport, backup charge therapy, and participation in department-specific duties. Licensing, NBRC credential, and ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications required; part-time, 0.60 FTE with 12-hour night shifts; compensation range provided; benefits include educational and certification reimbursement, malpractice insurance, and loan forgiveness opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- ASSOCIATE degree or diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS, BLS required
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- Six months to one year critical care experience preferred
