Job Summary
Conduct therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and aerosol therapy for adults and neonates under indirect supervision. Perform cardiopulmonary equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Prepare treatment evaluations through bedside assessments, patient interviews, and medical record reviews. Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data using critical thinking skills. Requires Texas Respiratory Care Board license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least six months of experience. Part-time schedule of 24 hours Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
