Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU at Akron General Medical Center. Responsibilities include performing cardiopulmonary assessments, evaluating breath sounds and airway patency, reviewing radiologic results and blood gases, collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes, administering medical gases and aerosolized medications, performing bronchoscopy assistance, managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation and airway devices, responding to emergencies, assisting with trauma and resuscitation, and providing patient and family education. The role serves as a preceptor for new employees and students, with PRN, variable shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., requiring 48 hours per six-week period.
