Job Summary
Provide respiratory care for patients across neonatal, pediatric, general nursing, adult critical care, PACU, and ED units. Perform treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, and diagnostic monitoring. Manage airway emergencies, support Code Blue and medical response teams, attend high-risk deliveries, and assist with neonatal resuscitation and transport stabilization. Assess respiratory status, develop individualized care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and support equipment processing. Supervise pulmonary rehabilitation exercises, teach breathing techniques, and coordinate home respiratory equipment. Requires RRT certification with NRP within six months, clinical exposure to pediatric and adult respiratory care, and night shift availability. Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan or eligible to apply
- Clinical exposure to all aspects of pediatric and adult respiratory care
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) and Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACC) through the NBRC
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella vaccination or lab confirmed immunity
- Flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who is registry-eligible
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) and Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACC) through the NBRC
