Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for respiratory care. Execute duties as assigned using all appropriate respiratory care devices. Maintain current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. PALS certification required for Emergency Room co-workers. Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, plus pinch up to 10 lbs, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
