Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for medical and nursing staff on respiratory care. Execute duties as assigned using appropriate respiratory care devices. This role requires a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and state licensure with no prior experience needed. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and performing push, pull, and grip actions. Preferred qualifications include Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and critical care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to use all appropriate respiratory care devices
