Job Summary
Administer respiratory care, including mechanical ventilation, Bi-pap, and aerosol treatments, while managing patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Conduct evaluations, perform arterial blood gas studies, and set up diagnostic nocturnal sleep screens. Maintain equipment inventory, train staff and students, and educate patients on CPAP usage and mask fitting. Perform emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and maintain airways for critical care patients. Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, RRT certification, and current ACLS, PALS, NRP, and RCP credentials. Located at Lehigh Valley Health Network facilities in Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Graduate from an RRT program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist NBRC - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 60 Days
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 60 Days
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - State of Pennsylvania within 60 Days
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Ability to provide respiratory therapy methodologies and techniques
- Ability to operate and trouble-shoot diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Ability to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
Desired Qualifications

- 1 year Experience as a registered respiratory therapist
