Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist role at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (St. Petersburg, FL) is a full-time position (36 hours/week) providing quality respiratory care across pediatric ages from neonate to adolescent. Responsibilities include assessing and planning respiratory care, safely performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, interpreting results, documenting in EMR, communicating with patients and families, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team. Relocation assistance is offered. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, FL Respiratory Therapist licensure, NRBC RRT credential, graduation from an CoARC-approved program, BLS and PALS (or obtained within 120-day orientation), and NRP if NICU. New graduates eligible; prior RT experience encouraged but not required. Salary range provided ($30.64–$49.02/hour) with benefits and potential eligibility for a sign-on bonus; schedule may be adjusted by the hospital. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree
- Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC)
- Graduate from an CoARC-accredited Registered Respiratory Therapy Program
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period
- Current NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
