Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist II working weekend night shifts in Marietta, GA at Cobb Hospital. Responsible for ventilator management, administration of aerosolized medications, airway management (including intubation/extubation and trach care), arterial blood gas collection/analysis, and delivering high-quality patient care in critical care settings. Performs patient assessment, plans care with the health care team, educates patients and mentors/new staff, and participates in staff development and professional growth. Requires NBRC-RRT certification and BLS/ACLS/PALS (and NRP options as listed) with 0-2 years clinical experience, including critical care exposure. Education required is an Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy, with Associate preferred. Location: Marietta, GA. Shift: Night, Full-time, Weekend/Nights.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS or BLS-I
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS or ACLS-I
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support or ARC-PALS or PALS-I
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS or NRP-I or NRP-P
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Professional
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, teamwork with physicians and health care professionals
