Job Summary
Provide clinical evaluation and respiratory care delivery for patients, including ventilator support for adults, pediatrics, and neonates; implement respiratory care procedures, monitor and adjust therapies based on pathophysiology and patient data; document treatments in the Cerner EHR; perform pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis when required; ensure safe administration of gases and maintenance of equipment; contribute to CQI and staff/student education; maintain appropriate credentials and licensure; collaborate with physicians and families to support diagnosis and therapies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- License as Respiratory Care Practitioner in Connecticut
- NBRC credential or equivalent
- BLS
- Maintains Connecticut State Licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
