Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist II in NICU at Cobb Hospital (Night shift, full-time) performing respiratory care in critical care with ventilator management, complex patient assessments, and education for patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities include medication administration, aerosolized therapy, airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care), arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, ventilator weaning, and collaboration with the health care team. Location-specific duties in NICU with emphasis on quality and safety, documentation, and participation in staff development and ongoing professional growth. Qualifications include an accredited respiratory therapy program (CoARC/CAAHP) with science coursework, Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred), 0-2 years clinical experience, and credentials including RRT/RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and related instructor provisions. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
