Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist II in the NICU at Cobb Hospital with night shift. Responsible for medication administration and implementing respiratory care per clinical protocols, ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, airway management, and aerosolized medication administration. Provides patient and family education, collaborates with the health care team, mentors staff and students, supports quality initiatives, and participates in invasive/non-invasive procedures as needed. Requires completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program, AS degree, 0-2 years of clinical experience including critical care, and relevant licensure/certification. Location: Anderson, SC within Wellstar Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals, and computer skills including familiarity with databases
